Hackers sound like scary people, their skills let them attack and take over your devices to steal whatever they want without ever leaving their homes. Hackers are generally antisocial? They spend a lot time on computer than others, but not all are bad bunch. Let discuss how hackers see themselves.

  1. Criminal hacker that gives the rest of them a bad name.
  2. Intent on breaking in whatever they are not wanted to steal secrets a wreak havoc

Script Kiddie

  1. A wannabe cracker who lacks skills and causes trouble using scripts (code and apps) developed by others and widely available on the web.

Phreaker

  1. An expert in attacking the security of telephone systems and networks in general.

CypherPunk

  1. A person whose main interest is cracking encryption.

Wares Doodz

  1. A hacker who specialize in making illegal copies of copyrighted software and distributing it – for free or for sale .
  2. The software may be a Trojan.

IronMonger

  1. A hardware specialist who works in the manufacture and maintenance of motherboards, memory and processor and looked own upon by hackers.

Sneaker

  1. A hacker who hired by a computer or similar large organization to test its cyber defenses by trying to break in from the outside.
  2. A group of sneaker is a tiger team.

Alpha Geek

The most skilled and experienced member of a hacking collective, to whom other members will turn for help.

Chomper

A failed hacker whose attempts at hacking are ineffectual also called a luser (a mash up of loser and user).

Code Grinder

  1. An IT professional who has no interest in hacking.
  2. Hacking feel sorry for them.

Jock

  1. A hacker whose main technique is to use brute force attacks to break through security.

Wizard

A hacker with expert knowledge of one particular piece of hardware and software that far exceeds the abilities of a general hacker

  2. It requires patience, precision and teamwork.

Uber Geek

  1. A hacker – generally a wizard – who has made an impact on the wider community, for writing programs that are common use b others.

Leech

  1. A particular kind of luser who downloads shared files but does not make them available to others.

Hired Gun

A hacker employed by criminal gang to provide programming services as part of a wider conspiracy. Similar to a samurai who is employed to provide the same service on a legal basis.
